Voices of Hope

Voices of Hope delivers school talk programmes for Years 7-13 to raise awareness about mental health, encourage help-seeking behaviours, and empower young individuals with the tools and knowledge to navigate their holistic well-being and support their peers.

Founders Genevieve Mora and Jazz Thornton actively engage in public speaking engagements at schools, corporations, and conferences, aiming to inspire and educate others while fostering empathy and understanding around mental health.

Jazz and Gen are also successful authors of best-selling books, and copies of their books are donated to schools during their tours.

In June 2024, Voices of Hope and the Wright Family Foundation partnered for their first school-talk tour in the Bay of Plenty, which proved to be incredibly successful. Together, we enabled 15 schools to experience their programme, facilitated the donation of 135 books to schools across the Bay of Plenty, and reached over 8,000 students with the vital message: ‘it’s not weak to speak, and the world is better with them in it!’.

Throughout the year, Voices of Hope conducted four weeks of school tours, reaching a total of 45 schools across New Zealand.

The Wright Family Foundation is proud to partner with Voices of Hope as they continue their invaluable work, inspiring our rangatahi to believe in themselves, to use their voices, and to show empathy for others.
